The king of the swingers, in a contempory context of course, huey is the face and the voice of the band. Born in Manhatten in 1969, on the 7th of August, Huey is the son of an Irishman and a Puerto Rican lady. According to a stint on 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks', he has a sister (?) and that remains to be seen.

Spending his youth up until circa 17 in and out of jail for assault and small time dealing came to an abrupt end when he was hauled in front of a judge.

"The judge said 'son you better make a decision" and that was between prison or the military. In the Marines he was taught to shut up, keep up and make up for his sins. He says it grew him put real fast. And after seeing a horrific death of a friend in the Gulf War, he had paid his dues and learned endless lessons. He finally left when a broken leg deemed him unfit for military service. Back home to NYC he went and got a job in the 'Limelight' as a barmen.

In 1995 he met Beliza, a doctor. They hooked up pretty quickly and their stormy relationship is, as ever, up in the air. He admits he loves her deeply, but deep down, he understands that it is improbable that it will last unless one of them makes a life changing commitment, such as gives up their career for the prospect of having a family.

Huey shared a place with Fast, after meeting him in club, they formed a band for a bit of fun and when an EMI exec was passing through, they landed a record deal. As simple as that and to this day the boys can't believe their luck.

It took him a while to crack the minor celebrity thing, but he got there. Appearing at almost every party with almost every fashionable single lady, Huey has the reputation as the ladies man.
His on/off relationship with Beliza gives him leave to hook up with the likes of Andrea Corr and Cat Deeley (boo-hiss hiss!).

What is for definiate about this straight talking, good-looking, showbiz bad-boy, gentlemen, native New Yorker, is that he loves his music. He has written some of the most beautiful lyrics in the English Language to some of the most amazing tunes of all time. Music has kept him out of jail and happy.
